Substance abuse pamphlets

Over the years SANCA Western Cape has developed a comprehensive range of information and educational brochures and posters that can be utilised for awareness campaigns, general display and training purposes.

These include:

  • Commonly Used Drugs, a eight-page booklet in English about the most common substances of abuse in South Africa today,
  • Methamphetamine (Tik), a publication in English and Afrikaans,
  • The Link Between Substance Abuse and HIV Infection, an informative English publication that explores the link between substance abuse and HIV/AIDS as well as the importance and role of Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT).

All current publications are in the process of being translated into Afrikaans and IsiXhosa. The development of new brochures focussing on alcohol abuse and heroin addiction is in progress.
